An open minded democrat I presume, who appreciates the diversity of perspectives in the marketplace of ideas.

I appreciate the diversity of ideas if there's some thought or logic to back it up. Why exactly are Reid and Pelosi so contemptible? Do their criticisms of the president somehow prevent relief work from continuing in the Gulf region? Should they be abandoning their duties on the Hill in order to go down to Louisiana personally to render aid? What do you expect from them?

They are contemptible because the motives behind the criticism are clearly inspired by an acrimonious pre- disposition towards the president rather than a sincere concern for those affected by this tragedy. One thing Democrats are these days is very transparent.

"clearly inspired"--no, they're not. It's not clear. It's not clear to me. I think they are quite concerned for the victims, and certainly have more compassion than Bush, who has all the compassion of a cinderblock, except for rich people. Explain more.

See, you suffer from the logical fallacy that many pro-Bushies do: You assume that we oppose Bush's policies because of our hatred of him. In fact, it's the other way around: We don't like Bush because his policies suck. Take off your blinders.
