I would add that another design aspect of the stadium - the sound system - has helped to create the nonsense we have today at FedEx. At RFK, the only music being played was by the band. At FedEx, they play incredibly loud music from the time the announcement of the play is over until the freaking ball is snapped.

I took my kids there and vowed I would never go again after the experience - the guys next to us were f-this and f-that every play, screaming at the tops of their lungs. My kids were under 10.

FedEx has turned Redskin football into a WWF event. It is so much nicer to watch it on TV.
